Sophie's 1st Birthday Party

Here are some pictures of Sophie's 1st birthday party at home. We invited several friends of mine, and they brought their kids.

Sophie was also eager to blow out the candle, and she attempted to do so, by rolling out her tongue. She also had a piece of cake with auntie, and kept going back to her for more.

I would say it was a great party!

First Time at the Car Wash

This morning, we brought the kids out for a "snow wash" at the petrol station. It was the children's first experience going through a car wash while seated in the car.

Ethan was very excited and talking to daddy, Zack thought that the water-jet was going to spray right at him, while Sophie was totally enthralled.

I suppose we will do it again. 15mins at the car wash, and the children enjoyed it tremendously.

Sophie Celebrates Birthday in School

Sophie celebrated her 1st birthday in school today.

As her whole school only had about 20 kids, they all came together in a big table to celebrate with her. The 3 children beside us are her classmates from infantcare.

She was very eager to touch the cake, and seemed to know that it's HER cake. I could hardly keep her at my lap, as she was clamouring over to go-get-it! It was a pandan kaya cake which grandpa and grandpa helped to bring to school.

Mother's Day Cake

I'm still recovering from a dry cough, and this is what we did for Mother's Day. Nothing too elaborate. A simple light cheese cake from Bengawan Solo, and Sophie's first Mother's Day with us. Too busy to blog these days...

Laryngitis

It's official. I've got the most sexy voice in town right now - laryngitis is the cause of it. I need to rest my voice, drink lots of fluid and herbal tea, and hope the voice comes back.

It doesn't help when work is really hectic, and people call you every now and then. I should turn off my office phone, handphone, etc etc....

Was on medical leave on Monday and Wednesday - not much of a leave when I actually clocked 8 hours working from home today. Sigh....
